AGM SMJK Chung Ling Koperasi Bhd. 190908

Today, 19 September 2008, we had our board AGM at the auditorium from time 2.30pm till 3.30pm. Due to some problems, our board president, the school principal as well as the officer from the JPK were absent. The meeting is mainly in-charge by the board secretary, Mr. Ang Soo Beng and also the board treasurer, Ms. Ong Bee Leng.

First of all, Mr. Ang would like to thank all of the presents for spending their time attending the AGM. He briefly explain about the organization of co-op and also the diffrences between the organization of the board and the club. The board members, mostly the teachers in-charge will operate the co-op shop with the help of the ALKs while the club is managed by the committee members of he club. Basically, the sales and the shares is managed under the board while the other activities such as the petanque boule playing are done by the club. Thus, for those interested may join as a share holders though not becoming a member of the club. After that, Ms. Ong Bee Leng explain the account of year 2007 till 2008.

During the AGM, a list of new ALK list is declared and the ALK members 08/09 are as below:

Mr. Ang promise that we'll try our best to maintain the price of our goods although the price outside inflate quite a lot. Based on the principle of the Co-operative shops, our presents is to fight against the inflation and protect the welfare of the students. Mr. Ang also said that the money a student spent on buying a product from the co-op, in the return he will also get back the money via the shares. In the nut shell, the more the sales in co-op, the higher the chances for getting higher percentage of the share dividends.

Besides that, Mr. Ang also suggest that one day, our co-op may expand to a larger co-op and become something like a supermarket if the conditions are allowed to do so. Furthermore, he also hopes that among the ALK or may be some help from the outsiders will help the teachers to employ the co-op and to run the co-op for a longer operation time beside just opening for recess time every morning.

Finally, Mr. Ang announced the percentage of dividend of share holders of the year is as high as 50% ! He also hope that this percentage of dividend may maintain or improve with the co-operation of the students.

It's hard and it's round! Oh my, it's the Petanque Boule~
Today, we had the petanque training again this morning.
Both Co-op Tan Wei Jie and Co-op Ooi Jiun Ming having their first oppotunity to run their activity.
Did you all have a great time? XD

May be it's a hot morning, most of the members did not attend.
Anyway, thanks for your faithful support!
But we hope that those who were absend may kindly pass up their absend letter as soon as possible to Co-op Tay Zez Chien, 4SA5 within a week time.

Holiday course...

Though it was holiday;
Though they can sleep until the sun shine brightly.
Our Hi-coms, Co-op Ooi Hua Ken and Co-op Tay Zez Chien, the current Co-op President and the Co-op Secretary have to sacrify their time representing our club to attend the "Kursus Pengurusan Pertubuhan Gerko" on 21 & 22 August 2008.
